About the Role
We're seeking a Client Engagement and Project Manager to build our Ottawa operations—someone who thrives on relationship-building, project leadership, and compassionate service. In this role, you will promote the brand through various marketing channels and liaise directly with clients to deliver seamless and soulful transitions.
You’ll report directly to the owner and manage a team of stagers, organizers, and trusted contractors to recreate “home” for our clients, while building and maintaining the Ottawa market.
What You’ll Do
• Build Community – Grow HUGO’s presence in the Ottawa region by nurturing authentic connections with seniors, families, care / retirement homes, and referral partners
• Lead Projects with Heart – Oversee transitions from initial consultation to final staging, ensuring every detail feels thoughtful, beautiful, and aligned with our standards
• Champion Our Brand – Share our mission through social media, networking, and everyday interactions
• Manage with Compassion – Guide and support team members with empathy, clear communication, and a focus on collaboration
• Deliver Excellence – Prepare estimates and floor plans, organize logistics, and uphold timelines—all with a deep respect for our clients’ stories and dignity

• Live in (or near) Ottawa and are ready to work independently with strong support from head office
• Have experience in interior décor, space planning, or staging

• Are energized by both B2B and B2C relationship-building – convert inquiries into trusted partnerships through meaningful engagement
• Have experience working with seniors or individuals with dementia and has contacts in the retirement industry sector
• Have a natural sense of empathy and a talent for navigating sensitive conversations

Requirements
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Space planning experience (digital 2D floor plan proficiency) and eye for aesthetics
• Organizational skills with a meticulous eye for detail
• Friendly, trustworthy, and deeply respectful approach to work
• Willingness to undergo a police background check upon hiring
